    Sweeping away the sand

Has anyone here ever pondered the idea of getting the good roads swept clear of sand and crap? I saw a street sweeper in Golden Gate once this summer after the floods and the road was great right after. But they don't doit nearly enough, in my opinion.
So I'm soliciting ideas for how we can get the good roads swept more regularly - especially in spring before the rains clear it away.
I'd love to attach a big rotating broom to the back of a truck, but I doubt that would work and I don't even know if its legal.

    Thoughts?

Buy 10 leaf blowers and let's fit them to someone's truck.

Brilliant! I have a truck that I would donate to the cause.

You could probably put a tip jar on the back of it and make $100k a summer

You begin your riding career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.

    Re: Sweeping away the sand

Or be more aware of your terrain while riding. Truth is sand will only bring you down if you are riding too aggressive for the conditions. It is the street. Sure maybe some of you will get together and spend a weekend or two sweeping turns but honestly how long will it last? A weekend? A season? Its part of riding the street. If you can't be aware of it or at least be accepting of it you should stick with a track. Just to be honest.
