What track what day is that?? Id love to go but I'm a probly not ,right now with moving and big push on shat work along with a ton of bike to do list with my dd's in front of that. Getting some new bouncers for da Ram finally, the left frt has been leakin now blow out for bout a year or so. there goes almost 6 Hundo. Lol goodtimes!!

Is it only 40 bucks to lap a bike @ IMI? And is there a 2014 lapping day schedule up somewhere?

It is open every other day to the public. You can call to confirm track availability.

Okay, thank you. For anyone who has ridden IMI: Is it 1st and 2nd gear only?

Depends on the bike, but you'll find 3rd gear.

I just got back from IMI with my son. We were riding the dirt (mud) tracks today. I saw so many people wipe out in the mud it was crazy. I just spent an hour trying to get it all out of the gears and crap on our bikes and my truck!!!

Still, SO MUCH FUN! $15 and you can ride dirt all day!

I would say 2nd gear, 1st is a bit "sensitive" so I tend to stay out of it through most of the track.

I just saw on their website they are having drifting races there??? Isn't that shredding the track?

Tears up the dirt offtrack and puts down some rubber, but their lines aren't ours. I've been going to IMI for a long time and havn't noticed any deterioration to the track since they've been allowing drifters. The new track manager guy is good at his job. Runs the sweeper and is well aware of track condition at all times.

It's always been a rough track. Thats part of the appeal to me. If the track is shreadable, then it's already been shreaded.

Use it for what it's good for: cheap, challenging practice.
