Thoughts? I've been taking a look at them the naked/supermoto style bike is very intriguing. And $7990 price tag doesn't sound to bad, I would def think of switching the bars to something a little more aggresive.

I'm seriously looking at an FZ09 or Duke 690.

Those look like a ton of fun. I may be looking at that one for my next new bike instead of the R1.

I've seen some mixed reviews, I hear the suspension is the problem with the bike, the bar's have to go to make it more of an aggressive riding style.

Makes no sense to me to put clip-ons on a naked, tube-bar bike. Buy an R6 if that's what you want. The susupension is fine for what the bike is designed for....again, R6 if you gotta have the latest/greatest fully adj suspension.

I have one, best all around bike I've ever owned. The torque is absurd, it's virtually impossible to stall off the line. It makes about 65ft/lb from 3000 rpm all the way to redline (11,000 ish). Yes, the suspension is not race quality, but it's not a raceBIKE fer cryin out loud. I love the bars, high, wide and give you plenty of leverage to throw it around. The only thing that's even close when it comes to fun would be a big bore supermoto, but this thing has motor to spare and is much more comfortable.

You begin your riding career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.
I bet the suspension is just about right for my 120 lbs.

I never said to put a full on clip on. I was referring to more of a renthal or something flat type motorcross bar

Had mine for almost a year now (March). And I still love it. Super light and nimble. Plenty of power, suspension is fine for your average rider, might put an Ohlins shock on this spring. Undecided still. I like the upright position, at my age (44), I am over the wrist pain that my previous bikes have given me over the years, and I don't have to be the fastest guy on the road anymore. So this scooter is my sweet spot at this point.
