    UPDATE! Sring Fever

I caged up 7 and 34 today. There is so much sand on the road you could hear it and see it constantly bouncing off the hood and grill of my car. Executive decision is to postpone this meet! I'm not comfortable getting the clean prepped bikes out until we get a little more rain. MY B. I think a MOCO first meet is probably the way to go for the general populace. I am up north and will continue to rally some north rides in the Northern thread.

Depending on date and time, I'm in.

Been getting the bike out as much as possible all winter long, but I am ready for being able to ride a lot more...

I know what you mean. I took my new bike out to the canyons as soon as I got it. Didn't even care that Lefthand is half dirt (I did but still enjoyed it)
It's supposed to be pretty nice for the next couple of weeks

    Re: Spring Fever

Well AWESOME! Great to hear voices out there. There will be Dirt, Gapers, Cagers, Looky loos and the general disregard for Motor Cycles. Especially in the beginning of the season!!! Avoiding traffic is also a little easier this time of year because tourism isn't kickn yet. Allowing for a comfortable Kick Stand Up time. I will not disclose routes in detail here. The standard gear is a key element to riding with groups on this forum. So have the standard Helmet, Gloves, Long pants. Other rides to come may suggest more but for now the standard gear is good. Come one Come All just be prepared with an open mind to all levels of riding. we will try and get into a comfortable riding order ASAP with out sketchy passing or anything. simply allow for faster riders to move forward. I will go over the wave through before KSU.

What - Spring Fever Come One Come All Ride
Meeting place - Lyons @ the Stone Cup cafe.
When - Sunday 3-16 11:30 KSU 12:00 Arrive gassed up. Get some coffee or whatev.
Pace - Speed limit sight seeing knock the dust off! If we are feeling frisky we can divide into groups.
Ride description - To check out areas that were hammered by the flooding. Glen Haven, Lyons, Estes Park.

    Re: Spring Fever

I may be in for this. Last year's beginning of season ride was a ton of people, but this year's winter was much longer and still ongoing. I think by end of April there will be a ton of rides getting posted. Does anyone have the conditions of these roads up near Lyons and Estes (sand still out or is it clean?)

I am going to check out some roads tomorrow. Pole hill is clean except for 1 turn. I assume there is going to be sand here and there. I just want to get a leg over and look spring in the eyes. staying down low is the key. I plan to hit some local low roads that are pretty clean.

Was going to get the bike out of storage today but woke up with a neck in pain. Can't really turn it to the left. If it feels better I might be able to get it out in time tomorrow.

Accuweather says that it will be only 50 by noon, no precip all day. Still plan on going.

I'm hoping to head out for a ride --- that sounds very much like the route I was planning to run since I don't trust I have enough tread to really go canyon bashing.
Any thoughts on when you might want to head out?

    Anyone else interested?
