    Custom Ear Plugs

Well I have about had it with my current ear plugs. Retail ear plugs and they don't stay in place when I put the helmet on and cause fatigue. I've been reading up on custom plugs and it seems a lot of people have had good luck.

Any recommendations for a place to get them done over in the Aurora area or east Denver? I'm going to try and see if my work/Tricare will cover them.

Thoughts for those that have them or places you have been. I'm guessing the cost is around $100

I did...I only found threads talking about a place in Longmont and Boulder. Was checking for anything in the Denver area.

    Re: Custom Ear Plugs

My plugs were done at the Longmont shop, and Traci knows what she's doing. She injects some goob into your ear, so you don't want to have it done by an amateur. I got the clear silicon plugs and they cost $114 and take a couple weeks to arrive in the mail. At first I didn't care for them and they really don't work for riding b/c the seal breaks when I slip on my tight fitting Suomy. So I continue to ride with foam ear plugs, however, I've grown to really like the silicon plugs for everything else from shooting to sleeping, loud concerts or social settings (they fit flush and don't look so geeky), yard work, pretty much anything other than moto riding. I like them enough that I would get them replaced if I lost one. She can do buds too for more $.

I agree with above. Still have mine, they still work great.

Finally got my ear plugs. $90 for custom fitted ear plugs made for motorcyclist. It's amazing how much better the ride is without wind noise and no discomfort from generic plugs. Got mine done at Rocky Mountain ENT in Aurora.

    Re: Custom Ear Plugs

Had a guy coming into Bass Pro the other day looking for the mold-it-yourself earplugs. Mix two different compounds together and you can do it yourself. Except he was going to cut out a section and put in ear buds for custom made earbuds.
