The new route has a small section of I25 (27 miles I think?) and then highway 64 which is another 40 miles or so until you hit Cimmeron and then it's national forrest and awesome riding.

Sorry to hear about the ticket. I run with a radar detector (Passport Max).

Bornwildnfree doesn't really ride, it's all a myth

Can't wait for this weekend! Weather looks great and I've got a pretty FJR and a pretty girl to come along with me!

Great riding, 1150 miles covered. Ended up being more miles due to a rock slide at the top of McClure Pass, closing it down... had to double back and do 133 and Black Canyon again... oh twist my arm!

Ended up getting home on Sunday at 9pm and put my night LED Rider auxiliary lights to good use! We were on the move most of both days and this was my 4th time doing this ride so I didn't take very many pictures. I know Gabriel did, maybe he'll post some up!

    Here's what I have:

The 52L looks even better on the FZ1!

Not sure what is more impressive... the miles or that you did it two up without the side bags.

    Thanks,

The miles is nothing new to me. Before our daughter I would ride 15-20K milese per season and that's with zero commuting. With the daughter I've only done 4,000 miles in the last 10 weeks of riding so that cuts into my time somewhat But I don't mind, she's a sweet baby girl!

Ended up not riding two up. Friday night my wife decided she really didn't want to be away from our baby girl for "the whole weekend". Not quiet sure what she will do when we take our week long trip in August for our anniversary. The plan is to do Pacific Coast Highway over a week but who knows, may have to be somewhere shorter.

I'll be making this ride again on Saturday as a Saddle Sore 1K - slightly modified route down to 1005 miles. Hope to complete in 16 hours.
