    Rear Tire Losing Air

I was out of the country for a month and yesterday i was finally able to take it for a ride. The bike is parked in the garage covered, when I took the cover off I notice that the rear tire is completely out of air. I filled it up and took it for a quick ride and it holds the air pressure.

The tire is PR3 that I bought 2 years ago. I never had a problem with the rear tire losing air. I checked the tire and I didn’t find anything wrong with it and there is no air leak sound. How can I find the leak? Did the tire got damage from losing all the air and I’m better off buying a new tire?

No worries on the flat unless the tire shows cracking at the fold. Tires lose air for a variety of reasons, but my bet is on the valve stem or valve core is there's no visible puncture in the tire. The best way to find a small leak is to immerse the inflated tire in water and look for bubbles.
    Thanks, Jim

Take some 409 or any kind of soapy water and a misting spray bottle and spray around valve, rim and the tire, even the smallest leak will show up.

The cracking will be visible on inflated tire? If it's leaking from the valve do i need to replace the valve?

I checked the rear tire, valve stem and side walls with the soap and water mix and was not able to find a leak

Did you take the cap off and spray some inside the valve stem? If it's the valve core leaking you could try tightening it up a little with the valve core tool. This happened to me the other day...

Talked to Jim about it. If it's still losing air I'll take it to Jim. As usual Jim is always willing to help.

    Thanks everyone for your advice!
