Nice 1 hour loop to blow off some steam...

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this....The Canyon Carving thread didn't quite fit (was more about conditions and meetups)....this is just a "hey, I thought this was a fun loop" thread.

Anyway, EvilFlyBoy and I took off after work yesterday and did the following loop:

    http://bit.ly/1jrO0BY

It's about an hour. And was a great way to blow off some steam after work. For those that the link doesn't work:

Start at MOCO. Highway 74 through Morrison, Idledale, Kittridge, Evergreen. At the fork turn left onto Highway 73 towards 285. Then take 285 back to C470. So it looks like this: C470 -> 74 -> 73 -> 285 -> C470

It's even better if you take a left at the roundabout (between Evergreen and 285) onto North Turkey Creek, instead of going on to 285. Then, when it hits South Turkey Creek, you can get on 285 there, or go right and take Deer Creek down to 470.

Well that settles it then...I know what I'm doing next week after work

I like to take Pleasant Park road personally, but my loop is very similar.

You should adjust your route to include N. Turkey Creek, too! Going up is even better than going down, plus it avoids all that unnecessary 285 bit. That loop is also good the other way, hitting Deer Creek and Highgrade going uphill.

Actually, that's S. Turkey Creek. But that would work also. If you take that same turn off 285 but go right, that is N. Turkey that goes up to the roundabout at 73, then you go left to 285, but go under it to get to Pleasant Park.

Since I live on the west side of town, these are my stomping grounds. I have done lots of different loops after work, in all directions on all these roads....plus some other secret roads through some of the neighborhoods up there

Does anyone have a quick loop like this in the SE area? I like these routes but they all would take me about 30 min just to get to a start point.

Re: Nice 1 hour loop to blow off some steam...

I live in SE Aurora.. sighhh.... so it takes me about the same time to get to Deer Creek... There really isn't anything on my side of town (just some places to go really fast .. muahahahaha)...
uhmmm, you could try to jet down I-25 South to the Happy Canyon exit to Santa Fe and head right to Sedalia and 105? Or reverse it and take I-25 to Monument and then back up thru Palmer Lake/105.

    How about this loop.

    goo.gl/J9E090

    1. Repeat 30 times
    2. Dodge Traffic every 30 seconds.
    3. Pray this type of 4 leaf clover really is lucky.
