Picking up a new bike tomorrow and really want to get it on the track ASAP, but $260 sounds kind of steep for a track day. Any reason it's $100 more than a lapping day, aside from being sponsored by a Ducaaaaati dealership?

I think you get a lunch too.
I think they have some coaching too. Not sure on the quality though.

I think the perks of the Erico Track Day VS an "open lapping" is that they limit the number of riders and they serve breakfast and lunch... but mainly the limited number of riders.
Personally, I dont think the price matches the benefits. I'm just going to wait until the 23rd.

HPR is never really packed with motorcycles. If there is a lot of bikes the will divide into sessions. I personally don't like empty track, I like it when you can play with others.
im doing it. there is not a weekend bike lapping day for the rest of the season and i dont get pto at my new job for a couple months yet and im anxious to get my streetbike out since selling my racebike i havent got a confirmation yet but im going to assume (hoping) carport and power is included.

There is a bike day @ PMI the same day
I've done several Erico track days. I was happy to have a relatively empty track since the closing speeds were an issue. I was on a 250, relatively inexperienced track rider certainly compare to Bueller, and trying new things. The instructors were really good. One was Piz (I can't remember his first name) a professional 250 AMA rider. That was a trip. He has 4 pages of notes on HPR, things he wants to remember when he races there. I think power is included in the fee but I'd check. $360 is a lot of dough. No doubt about it. Not for everybody. I can't remember if Jason DiSalvo was there as a part of Erico or if that was another track day. Listening to him was cool. Never done that before.
Dan,
Disalvo was at the last chicane day I did.
Weekend tracktime is is hard to come by and the Erico folks run a good program.
Thanks, Scott, for the clarification. The more I thought about it the more I thought it was Chicane. A good day. ;(... I wish Chicane would occasionally make a come back. I know it's a lot of work and subscriptions need to be there in advance. Dan
