Talking Off this week, and riding around.

Going to be up at MoCo around 9:30 or so tomorrow Monday 6/2. Anyone else? I'll be taking it at my pace and stopping wherever it suits me. The rest of the week will be the same. Maybe. A fishing pole may end up strapped to the bike and finding a good place to be lazy sometime this week as well.

ok, where are you planning on going? Pretty sure I've ridden with you before, I just have bad memory. Would love to get on Bear/Turkey/Pleasant Park/Foxton, just don't know the area much. But I'll be available. I'll be there

Probably all of the above. I don't have a plan or schedule. Just winging it.

Hope that they cleared the sand. I'm looking forward to that ride when it's clean

It wasn't bad at all, pretty much clear roads the whole way. There was a little sand up above Idaho Springs coming down from Mt Evans, and a few pebbles here and there, but it was largely just clean with good visibility. 6 was a waste of time with traffic\enforcement, but the rest of it was perfect. The new asphalt up between Evergreen and Mt. Evans is really nice and it was a gorgeous day.

Is your new toy a dirt bike? Cause turning right off 103 onto 475 puts you onto a pretty gnarly, somewhat maintained dirt road about halfway to Upper Bear Creek Rd (one of my personal favs, btw). Is that the way you ended up going, or did you stay on 103 all the way to Evergreen Pkwy?

Well I do have a new dirt toy, but this was the new street toy Instead of upper bear creek, I went up 74 and went over on squaw pass rd to 103. I did notice a bunch of fire roads off the side in the Mt Evans area. I might take the dirt bike up there and explore a little sometime. Any recommendations?

The Ranger station in Idaho Springs was very helpful for me when shooting back there. They do have free maps of the area and the road/trails.
