I went down at the track with no cuts and it was fine.

Everyone has their preference. Just stating my experience with the ones I have. It's gone down 3 times, and never an issue. 1 lowside at Turn 6 @ HPR, a small highside on cold tires/wet street lines (very slow), and a long slide by the previous owner.
