A terrible shame. That has got to be one of the most unforgiving courses around.

The laws of necessity, of self- preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property, and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

It reminds me a lot of how Elmer Trett died. He was a Top Fuel bike drag racer, who died 9/1/1996 when after running a low 6 second exhibition pass at over 230 mph, he sat up to wave to the crowd, and was immediately blown off the back of the bike. Very sad, in both cases.
    Thanks, Jim

nttbad, but what a way to go - if you gotta die, you might as well die doing something you love and right after accomplishing something significant, I dont think that's something the average person does.
