    ++ Last Camping Trip ++

    Weather permitting; we are planning on going to go to Mushroom Gulch on Friday October 24th. 2003 at High Noon . Most likely ending up in Mt. Princeton Hot Springs prior to dinner around the campfire and another round of lies and shenanigans.

    If you go ---- and I know you want to BRING LOTS-O-WARM STUFF . There WILL be frost on the pumpkin

    If there are no dueling banjos! I'm in! even though it means I'll be missing half of day of work which I hold so dear! lol.

    I have never been to Mushroom Gulch so I need to get some more details later though.

    Oh, I'll be driving so if anyone needs some help getting some of their gear up there I can help.

    I'll be there. The trip is still on.

    If, for some reason, I don't make it, here are the directions and map:

    Bald Mountain / Mushroom Gulch: Buena VistaCo.

    To get there take Hwy 285 like you are going to Buena Vista. About 6 or 7 miles after Antero Junction There will be a turn-off to the left just before the small bridge that goes over Trout Creek. That will be County Rd. 307. Go down that road less than a mile and turn left on County Rd. 308 which is Mushroom Gulch. Camping is generally back up 308 a mile or two on the right in a nice meadow. Trails are smoother again very scenic, you can spend a lot of time here as well.

    TRIP REPORT

    The trip was AOK and one that others are judged by Even with the deflated ThermoRest pad (fire spark causality) the -50 degree bag was a real lifesaver . The night was filled with Newcastle Nut-brown Ale and great grilled Salmon, Caser Salad, Corn on the cob and Chips Ahoy cookies (THANKS HOSERKING!!) Sat AM woke up to Coffee and Baileys Irish Cream AND FRIGGING SNOW ----- those bastid weather folk. Came home and glad I did cuz then I really puked when my MIGHTY BUFFS LOST TO THOS DAMN SOONERS

    PS HOSERKING POST THE PIX OF THE SNOW BRO
