Re: Motorcycle Fatality on Mississippi: Anyone know the rider?

So...both trucks checked on the biker, and when they say he was toast they took off? And somebody took a picture of the trucks as evidence, they found the driver and the trucks but nobody is in custody? It's sad what a problem hit and runs have been recently (or maybe it's just seasonal). And then this is what happens when the drivers are found... Same with DUI's. It took a lawyer to keep my license this year from too many speeding tickets and he said I was looking at losing it for 9-12 months. Don't you only lose it for 6 months with a DUI? Funny thing is, in my driving class to keep my license, lots of people were in there for crashing their vehicle while drunk, leaving the scene and what I got out of the class--if you're drunk and crash, just flee the scene. The consequences are far less severe than hanging around and being caught for drunk driving. I guess this is America. We acknowledge the problem, then shrug it off.

So , I guess the moral of this story is, You're saying fuck the innocent bike rider and there family by fleeing the scene of a hit and run. That's just wrong and fucked up. It would take a complete Loser to do that. I guess majority of the people in those classes h Ave no respect for anyone, even themselves.

I was talking to a family member of one of the pickup truck drivers. His response was that the rider was the lucky one because all his problems are over and problems for the drivers are just beginning. Yes, he is an asshole.

Yeah probably have little respect in first place. Do you really think a drunk driver is really caring about others in the first place though! If that were the case they would never get in that car drunk because they would see they are putting others in danger too. DUI's will always be a selfish act as they kill so many innocent people yearly

That is F'ing ridiculous. The justice system in the country is for the birds. I always see those DUI attorney ads and such. There should be no way to get a reduction, dismissal etc. If you tested over the limits no matter what else you get x sentence and no early release for good behavior. It is an epidemic in this country. The punishment clearly is not commensurate with the crime.

So everyone is talking DUI, but the article mentions nothing about that. Quite likely, especially since the crash occurred at 2:15am, but that's not been reported. I wouldn't worry too much, these douchebags will get crucified, the PD just needs to put their case together. These guys are likely facing vehicular manslaughter charges and 20+ years in the pokey.

That rider was a friend of a friend. He was killed right near my friends house, they were asleep and never knew their friend was dying outside
