If you're looking for a somewhat easy day to get to Pagosa Springs here is what I suggest:

It fulfills the MDH and is the favorable southbound route from Ouray to Durango. From Pagosa Springs we can choose between the New Mexico way back I mentioned or 149 to 50 to 92/black canyon.

Weather looks perfect this weekend. Low 70s both days with no or minimal chance of rain.
Two had to cancel for this weekend so currently this trip consist of myself and Titus (Al).
Room for more if you want to get in an over night for the year!

I get out to the area at least once a year. Great riding, scenery, and destinations if anyone is on the fence. ~450 miles a day is a lot easier than you think if the roads are fun. I am doing it on a R6 and not even worried about comfort... I can't sell the damn thing because of the mileage (25k) so might as well enjoy it!
