Want to try and get in one last long mountain ride this Saturday. The weather everywhere in the mountains looks to be at least mid 60's with 0% chance of rain. Haven't decided on a route yet, but figure KSU from Moco around 9:30am. I'm open to suggestions.

I woke up this morning at 7... Burr it was cold. Mrs. Clovis reminded me we have a baby shower this afternoon at 4 so I'm going to repeat my ride yesterday of 260 miles. Springs to woodland park then to divide and cripple creek on to Salida. 130 miles each way. i may see your group along the way. I'll be in woodland park around 1020.

Hall pass was refused by having too much crap to do today. I might get a jaunt in this afternoon... Maybe. Hope it was fun! Keep the shiny side up.

I ran into your group going the other direction at Pine. I was making my way towards 285 expecting to run into two friends heading to Deckers from Moco. I saw your group go by and thought one of the 2 friends I was expecting to see around that area might be with the group. I caught up and passed you just past buffalo creek (your group was stuck behind a couple of cars). 2 or 3 of the group passed after me and we rode at a fairly brisk/fun past though Horse Power and onto Deckers. I figured you guys would stop at Deckers and I would just wait for my friends there.
But you guys kept going presumably towards Woodland Park and onto Cripple Creek.
Redline and his friend on the white Honda 600RR pulled over at Deckers and we chatted for a bit. I rode with them back until the end of horse power hill when I got a text from my friends that one of them picked up a screw and they were looking for a shop to plug it. I ran into them about 20 minutes later (probably an hour after I ran into your group) and from there we went to Deckers, Cripple Creek and beyond but had to turn around a few miles before highway 9 due to time constraints. I had to be home by 3:30 to goto a party with Mrs. Clovis.
Good riding with you guys for the short period, wished it could have been longer, hope I didn't upset anyone when I passed the group. I was on the blue FZ1 with a Givi top case (tail case) and all black leathers.

You pretty much upset everyone when you passed the group. I was waiting for the large, legal passing zones a little further up the road. No reason to go blasting by right there and piss off the locals.

Yeah locals get really pissed off when a rider passes a group of riders in a no passing zone...pppffftt..
