I'll probably pick up a new S1000RR, but I'm thinking I'll wait for the 16 model year, as I'm not a big fan of the 15 paint schemes.

2015 adds a quickshifter up and down, cruise control, dynamic dampening, better electronics including a custom tune mode, 6hp, 9kg less, and a few other things.

I love the 30th anniversary edition paint scheme on the Ninja 636 for 2015. If I upgraded I would have a problem deciding between lime green or white but this model comes with both white and green mixed

Holy cow, Yamaha is raising the bar even higher with the R1M. Talk about pulling out all the stops!

Yeah after seeing the new R1 I pretty much just came all over the place. Very awesome bike. Not all that thrilled with the headlights though.

Yeah the headlights are a bit off, but hell, other than that it's pretty much a streetable M1! Small price to pay, I think.

The R1 definitely got a huge host of updates, but aside from power it's just par for a liter bike today. I'm not impressed by its aesthetics either.

It'll be interesting to see how many of these bikes actually put down their claimed power. I'd think the R1 will, as Yamaha doesn't really have a history of over-rating power numbers. Ducati on the other hand... every new Panigale iteration claims 5hp more and still dynoes 40hp shy.

That R1M is definitely a possibility for my next bike, though I'm not too crazy about the front end but I'll live with it haha. Saw the unveil today, feeling the R3 also and the FZ09 touring (can't remember the exact name) but way nice too.

I think Ducati's continual increases in displacement in order to keep up with the I4s is starting to grow a little stale. The Panigale is still a sexy bike, offers an robust electronics package, and has a character that is rarely ever afforded to the Japanese brands and imitation-vanilla S1000RR, but perhaps it's time to move over to a V4 like Aprilia did in 2010. Just my $0.02.

Perhaps you should update your information a little bit. Yes, you read a bunch of articles showing that the Panigale was way down on RWHP compared to their claimed HP at the crank, but as somebody on the forums said in another thread, it's likely the testers neglected to disable the wheel-speed sensor. Here's a video of a Panigale R vs. an HP4. Same dyno, same day, and the HP4 was only 4 HP higher, 178 HP vs. 182 HP respectively. The HP4 certainly still makes better use of it's power from crank to wheels, but the 1199 is hardly even close to losing 40 HP from crank to the wheels.

Better move fast, I think they're only making 500 R1Ms!

I forgot about the lightweights, have you guys seen the new RC390? From the specs it looks pretty badass!

What's different about it compared to last year's model? It was discussed a little bit in this thread: http://www.cosportbikeclub.org/forum...are-coming-out

I don't think comfort is one of the design criteria for a bike like that. I like the tri-color but I'm not too hot on the rising sun thing. Honda: good, now bring to market something similar that we mere mortals can buy. Put a V4 in a 600 and watch the racing wins come.

The RC390 sounds cool but what I have read says it will come in way too high price wise. However I have not seen any official numbers released so maybe they will surprise.
