    Ya I'd certainly agree, though I'm not sure I agree with him on the power or gearing being better on the 899, but a lot of that is perspective, and the 1199 does have a pretty poor power curve. But as poor as it is, I'd personally take it over the 899 still. But I like I said earlier, I'm a power addict. There's never enough for me!

    I have to agree with this. As much as I loved my 2007 VFR800, my new 2014 VFR800 is lighter and much more flickable. I have noticed since I got it that I'm much faster and having much more fun on every ride.

    The 1199 is lighter than the 899, but with a longer wheelbase probably isn't as easy to transition. I notice at HPR my S1000RR takes a lot of work through the corkscrew, and I notice the middle-weights seem to transition a lot quicker. Probably partially due to rider skill, but also having a long wheelbase fatty.

    It's primarily due to the displacement difference between a 600 and 1000 and the gyroscopic effect a motor has when it's spinning.

    Ducati's are sexy bikes no doubt there. On a side note , caught the moto gp in Malaysia a few weeks ago. Ducati was there but it broke dwn during race. Boo hoo..
