Two CSC members headed to South America via Kawasaki's

How about a trip from Colorado to the east coast? How about a trip to Alaska from the East coast? How about a trip from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego?
Well that is exactly what myself and another member are about to undertake the beginning of May.

Way cool! Good luck adventuring. Although, you probably want to get rid of the Suzuki logo'd jacket and get Kawasaki to sponsor you a new one.

Not sure the bike choice would be my first. Really can't even go for a ZX10R?

The laws of necessity, of self- preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property, and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

A moment of silence for his back and wrists... lol... good for him but as much as I love bikes I certainly wouldn't do a long distance trip on a full R bike, couple states over? Sure

Re: Two CSC members headed to South America via Kawasaki's

Ya I'm not sure if I could either. I think I could, but it'd take me a lot longer to cover the same distance. 150 mile fuel stops and 500 mile days max. Definitely jealous of this trip though.

Oh no doubt man, very jealous for sure. If they gave me the option to do that trip on an R bike then fuck it ... I did a 700 mile day on the R1 once and man was I feeling it lol

wow... I had no idea that guy kept going! I followed that thread all around the US, but not since.

Well, now I know what I'll be doing today since they cancelled my flight.
Do not put off living the life you dream of. Next year may never come. If we are always waiting for something to change...
Retirement, the kids to leave home, the weather or the economy, that's not living. That's waiting!
Waiting will only leaves us with unrealized dreams and empty wishes.

Still cracks me up that you guys are doing these on Versys'. Wish you guys the best of luck. If I were 10 years yoounger and had my 950ADV I'd go with ya. Off-roading on the Versys you'll want extra/aftermarket foot pegs and watch the over-heating in the sand/mud with those bikes.
