    Buying a Dirt Bike

I'm looking at getting a dirt bike 2001 Honda CR250 with about 30 hours on it. Does anybody have any suggestions of what to look for when checking it out?

Look for pitted shock tubes, cracks around the neck of the frame or anywhere on the frame, busted rear shock, tranny noises, funky engine noises, bent rims, brake pad condition, sprockets and chain wear, plastic line condition (look for dryrot), etc. If it was an older dirt bike with a metal fuel tank, you would check for rust inside. Hope this helps.
