I won't be there Saturday, tearing the bike down again. This time to wire the heated seat, add the HID projector headlights, and replace a couple beauty parts.

It was just because this was an open house. Their normal track days are organized well enough, this was just a unique situation that we probably won't encounter again.

Here's a video, they made us practice race starts for their insurance. The trick I've found is to muck up the launch so you don't hit anyone, get to the outside, then whack it open.

I didn't realize you had started "racing"... Are you with the AMA, MRA, MotoAmerica? At any rate it's nice that the organizers gave you the concession to "race" against middle-weights. With launches like that, you should see if they'll let you join the 250 class!

There's a guy that's been to HPR a few times that calls himself the BMW killer. I think he's done a superstreet race or two.
you should come and show him what's up. I'm not sure how many BMW's he's killed but I know he got a SV 1000 last year

that kid... oh man. Guess he can beat S1000RR's but couldn't beat me on a bone stock 03' R6 at S.S round 6 last year. That kid is a hot head, heard he's racing this year even after he wadded his gixxer at the track day earlier this year, that ought bring Brownies blood pressure up and keep the corner workers rather occupied.

I assume they didn't let you advance to expert after all? If you're in any races with that hot head just watch his lines (which he has none) cause that dude is one of the most abrupt riders I have ever seen at a track. During S.S at round 6 he would blast past everyone, brake way later than he should, blow the turn by a mile. The last 3 laps were a nightmare trying to stay ahead of him cause I'd pass him on the turns really easy but he'd blow right past me at the straights. Round 7 at PPIR I used Randall's CBR600RR and I was catching him by the 2nd lap. His brain believes that power is everything, I'm surprised to all hell that they're going to let him race this season after how much of a hot head he is and could pose a threat to other riders. I sure hope that he's come to terms that his mentality is wrong and gets his act together.

He was supposed to take the MRA race school last Saturday. I was told he rode into HPR at 11am. Said it was to cold to ride to the track earlier. Needless to say they didn't let him take the school. He rode the afternoon session of the trackday.
He was later picked up after he crashed in Turn 5 I think.

This guy is off to an expensive start.
