2004 SV650/S Coolant

Is there a specific coolant to use for my SV650/S? I have referenced my owners manual and it just reads engine coolant with no other details. Thanks

Should be just standard glycol based coolant. I'd put regular stuff on there, should be fine.

We use the premixed coolant from the auto parts store here at the shop for convenience(no need to mix and measure, just pour it in). Some manufacturers recommend that you avoid coolants with silicate additives, claiming they accelerate seal wear, but I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. Pretty much all coolant sold is safe for aluminum anymore, due to its increasing prevalence in automotive cooling systems.
