Oh yeah and very few people know this also, it is illegal to ride through the town of Morrison with your high beams on, so avoid a dumb ticket... yes, they've given 2 point tickets for that. You've been warned. I'd be in but doing a water pump on my buddies car so I'm out unfortunately. Have fun, be safe keeds.

Thanks for that info, I ride with my brights on normally during the day. GOOD INFO!!

So one-ops, meeting at MOCO, ksu @ 9:30? Riding to deckers works for me. I would just like to be back in Littleton by 12:30. Just put a new tire on my 600 last night, now I can decide which bike to take!

As soon as you clear the town just flip your brights back on, you'll be good.

Great news! Weather forecast in the mountains has gone from 60% afternoon showers to 20% chance of an afternoon shower. Not bad!

Hope you guys enjoy your ride!

I started a meetup because of the suggestion on here, but it looks like the routes are going to be different. I've got about 10 people meeting me at the Conoco in Morrison, then we are heading to Golden Gate Canyon to 119 into Nederland. Eating lunch then coming back ((not sure what route) may go down into boulder or lyons depending on weather.

Unless I'm an idiot and you all are planning on doing this as well haha.

How is the gravel up that way? Hope the rain today doesn't make it more unsafe

Don't know to be honest, but I know a couple weeks ago Golden Gate Canyon was good for the most part, I had a ton of fun up there. Some people off a fb group I'm in have already ridden up to Nederland recently and said it was good. If it's not looking like good road conditions we can always change the route.

Just remember it rained and snowed in the high country so just take it easy, the riding season is just starting.

You're telling me that something that was put on almost every damn car in America is illegal to use in town?! What the bloody hell! I'd be SO pissed if I got stopped and he gave me a ticket for that. That's some bullsh*t right there...

You didn't miss much...between the shitty weather and the ridiculous traffic, it wasn't a very good ride.

Guess earlier rides it is, that's fine with me. Nothing worse than stupid traffic during a canyon ride.

Re: Hoping for the weather to change for a ride sat 3-2

Missed some of you guys that left just after 0930, I swung by there a little late just to see some old faces and meet some new. Good seeing those others that were there in a different group though.

Madvlad, if your ever up for early morning rides..... KSU 0800 or possibly even earlier, let me know. I took a couple early morning rides last year and of course, was a blast with no traffic, back in town by 10am or so haha.
