3-Day Moto Trip from Denver - Black Hills too far?

Reading some of the recent posts about the Black Hills got me thinking. I have three days this weekend to ride (all responsibilities are accounted for). I was planning on heading west and doing the classic CO passes through Durango and back home. My question, as a few of you have just done this ride - is it worth the trip for only 1.5 days of riding in the area? How painful is the ride from Denver to the start of the fun roads - I don't know if I really want to spend 12-14 hours on straight roads just to have one day riding in the Hills.

Any other options I should consider, happy doing 500 mile days, but on my Street Triple much more than that starts to really hurt. Thanks

As a straight shot you're looking at about 400 miles to get into that area.
I've got more flavor than a packet of macaroni.
