I usually quote most sportbikes at 45 minutes to an hour to do both ends, but we routinely get them done in 30 minutes or less. I have the special tools for the MV and also for the Ducatis. Not to mention that we have very competitive tire prices, and surly friendly service (me!).
    Most assuredly.

It takes me all day to just get tires removed.

My OCD kicks in and I have to clean everything that I can't normally reach with the wheels on.

I wouldn't let anyone touch my bike who charged $15 to swap tires.

Carry on. No one get their panties in a bunch.... but I've seen other mechanics work and it makes me ill. I got one and only one shop I'll ever take my machines to.

Jim is a trustworthy guy so $14 is a great deal for that but do get your point that sometimes a good deal can cost more than what you save. Finding a trustworthy tech is difficult but when you find him/her it's heaven

Jim is not only a great tech, he also isn't trying to retire off a single tire change. I will gladly call Jim when I am due for tires again.

Yeah, 4-5 years ago I had Wayne help me get both tires down to 303, we were both on bikes, it was funny to say the least!

    Re: Heh... Hehe.... Hahahaha.... BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Just want to give a quick shout to Jim at TFOG for working me into his schedule without a lot of notice, and getting my replacement rear tire installed. After a slight hiccup with the reverse-threaded wheel nut, he was able to get my corded Pirelli bun swapped out for the new "fully rubberized" model!

As I'm sure he always does, he went out of his way to make sure this CSC member got a great value for the service, and he even honored a store credit that I've had in my back pocket for like 3 years. Ha! Thank you Jim!

Now if only some amazing luck could strike.... Like maybe me winning a track-day or something like that.

I rarely think of motorcycles without a little yearning. They are about moving, and humans, I think, yearn to move – it’s in our cells, in our desires. We quiet our babies with cyclic movement, and we quiet ourselves by going.
