    RIP Carl!

Found out from a buddy of mine who is competing in this year's race. He said Carl was mentoring him because it was Carl's 3rd year at the climb.

"It's so unreal that just yesterday we were laughing and going through today's sections and him telling us to be careful on some turns".

I feel for him, but I especially feel for his wife and child! Just so much sadness...
"If not us, who? If not now, when?"

The MRA lost an awesome member and board member today, he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. We will all miss Carl, #217.

I rarely think of motorcycles without a little yearning. They are about moving, and humans, I think, yearn to move its in our cells, in our desires. We quiet our babies with cyclic movement, and we quiet ourselves by going.

Carl was the type to become friends with anyone he came across. The type of guy that could do no wrong, he will be missed by so many. Extremely sad to hear, Lacy's post on facebook.... I can't even imagine how she is managing this right now.

I had met and talked to Carl several times and we rode in the same group during some track instruction. Sad Sad day.

He was the VP of rules and tech at the MRA and board member as well. He was an outstanding competitor and very dedicated person at his duties to the MRA and participants.
