    Bye bye R1, hellooooo RC51!!

As some of you know, I sold the R1 to pick up an RC-51 from a member here on the board. It's always been one of my dream bikes and the opportunity came up to get it, so I had to jump on it. The R1 had 34k miles on it, needed a stator and a clutch and a bunch of random parts that I was just tired of messing with, so I let her go. It was a good run with her and will always be one of my favorite bikes that I've owned. Anyway, on to the pictures!

Congrats Wick. I've ridden with that bike quite a few miles. It's a good one. The shifting on that thing still is one of the most smooth shifting transmissions I've ever shifted.

It is definitely a smooth machine! Already have the VFR shifter on the way to switch it to GP shift.

He is forever ruined, he lost some power compared to the R1 but picked up character in spades. He is going to start having more interesting conversations, women will look at him differently, woodland creatures will flock too him and share the secrets of their majestic world. Good things happen when you ditch an appliance for something with soul.
