Farewell track days at Miller Motorsports Park, September 4 and 7

I'm going to organize a trip out to Utah to attend a couple track days at MMP before it closes. I will probably drive the bike out there in my pickup truck, as I will take a week or so in California following the track day and don't really want to slab on my bike halfway across the country.

I'll be attending the following track days:
    Friday 9-4-15, west config, $200
    Monday 9-7-15, full track, $270

Someone join me, do more to support the sport than typing on a forum.

Just signed up for both track days, $468 total. I signed up for B group on the first day, and B/C for the second as there are only 2 groups on the second day. A is their advanced, C is beginners.

The website is easy to use, didn't take me very long to sign up.

It doesn't look like it. I'll probably go through Vegas since I'm going to Southern Cali. Meet me at Miller!

This could be interesting if I have been on the bike for a while again by then.

I hear ya there, I plan on trying to take it easy and just enjoy the track while I'm there.

They do rent bikes yes, although I'm not sure what kinds. $400 per day, $1250 damage deposit.

That's my problem, that I always say I'm going to take it easy and I do but I don't cause I get on this zone and start to feel comfortable to go faster and faster each time. Like per instance, when I went to round 6 for S.S last season at HPR with the race bike, wanted to just take it easy and test things out since I had just finished fixing it, ended up getting in a pretty good scrap with a dude in a gixxer 1000 and another dude on an much newer R6, ended up beating both of them and shaved about 15 seconds from my previous time at HPR lol... May think about just trailering the SF out there and just doing that cause at almost $2,000 I'd rather wad my own bike since insurance covers track days or so I just found out. Hey Rybo, do you happen to know what are the bike prepping guidelines for MMP? Can't find anything on the site

Is the organizer here. Prep is similar to HPR. No coolant, lights disabled, mirrors removed or taped over.

As far is "in the zone" a so realize that when you're dropping 15 seconds per lap in a single session you're in "uncharted territory". This is a place where things can go bad in a hurry.

To avoid crashing, go out every session with a plan and stick to that plan. Goals like "picking my eyes up out of the corner" or "focus on getting to every apex" will help you improve riding and pace incrementally while still managing risk.

Looking forward to seeing my CO peeps here!

I didn't drop 15 secs per lap, just from my best time there before (on someone elses bike btw) just so we are in the same page before I start getting slaughtered here ... I do understand that pushing a ton without consistency can be dangerous, wasn't really planning on it that day but after 2 laps of good scrapping with these guys and keeping my brake markers constant, being able to trail brake well and stay in control without being erratic felt good, definitely do know my limits and wouldn't be over them given I'm not the only one out there. How much would you charge me for a session out there? I'd definitely like to get better and learn even more from the people I learned a ton from when I started doing this

    Hey Damir -

No slaughtering going on here, just some friendly advice to help you keep that pretty bike off the ground

I charge $75 an hour, which would include one riding session / video analysis etc. - I recommend you spend at least 2 and no more than 4 hours with me, as that's the "sweet spot". One hour really isn't enough, and more than 4 hours is over saturation.

Really glad some of you are coming out to play!

Oh I know lol, just saying before people start saying "I call bs" ... this was on my 03' R6 race that I had, I haven't contemplated taking the Duc to the track until now but given its a new track I will be taking it easy, need to get out of Colorado for a few anyway so it'd be a good bday present anyway. I'll get in contact with you if I end up doing this. What is the deadline for ya?

I'm going to be there regardless, so my deadline is really based on if others use my services that day or not. It's a first come /first serve kind of thing.

Word man, well whether I ride or not I'll be there anyways, like I said I need some time out of Colorado (yes, I know Utah isn't the best time off place ) but still out of here for a few days lol

Rybo - I checked out the website but couldn't find anything about the garages (and power), do you know if they are included in the track fee?
