My first renewal in 15 years. Sorry AMA, I'm a bit overdue.

So in an effort to keep my motorcycle insurance down as much as possible, I have rejoined the AMA again this year, in my first renewal since 2000. I suppose the insurance savings aside, Rybo has always spoken very highly of their membership "benefits", in particular the towing that is part of the coverage, regardless of which vehicle (auto or bike) needs it.

Anyway... just thought I'd throw this out there ["Cool story brah!"] to see who else gets a insurance break from being a member. Or maybe if anybody else who has been a longtime AMAer, has any tips or tricks to getting the most of my membership?

Truthfully, I feel like a bit of a schmuck for not having joined back up sooner. The 5% discount I'm getting on my policy for this next yearly term, is more than the cost of the yearly membership, and I'm pretty sure I've paid for a tow or two over the past few years.

I rarely think of motorcycles without a little yearning. They are about moving, and humans, I think, yearn to move – it’s in our cells, in our desires. We quiet our babies with cyclic movement, and we quiet ourselves by going.

read everything they give you for your membership. There are a bunch of really good little nuggets all over the place, including service/lodging and other discounts... Think tires - if you can find an AMA friendly shop in your area, they probably have a discount. Since you are now a member of the AMA, you should consider signing up with http://moto-advocacy.co/ and help us keep an eye on the stuff that impacts us all here in CO. We don't have such awesome bennies as AMA though, not yet.

I saved 20% ($70) last week on a car rental reservation with AMA discount code.
