That Era R6 is one of my top 10 bikes of all time, I love the style and that 17,500 red line. Awesome ride man.
The 17,500 red line was a manufacturer fluke, it really only went to 16k.

06+ R6 especially in blue are one of my all time favorite bikes. If I did not love my 636 so much I would not mind looking into a blue or white one of these.
As for rides, Matt you have my cell phone and if you are not in Iowa maybe we can ride this weekend and get the feet wet since it's been a while since you were up there. I can't do the early rides at 8am or earlier and I don't mind riding later if needed. Actually I've only ridden at night like 5 times total so thats probably not a good idea for me to ride at night but if we did an evening ride we could swing that. Plus you live over by me anyways.

Yup. Really just going to rape him. Naa I have to fly out to Iowa to pick up a car and was wondering if he was driving out if I could ride in the bed of his truck or up on the roof or in the trunk. I won't scream I swear
Yes, definitely more inaccurate than other brands... Thus why they had to change it for the same engine through the current generation.

Just let me know what works, man!
I hit bailey/pine Tuesday and it was a fantastic ride...stopped at crossroads bar for a beer and some pizza then came back down.
Plan on hitting little bear in evergreen for a burger and a beer soon as well
We'll make something happen for sure - hopefully you had a good time in Hawaii!
I'm Matt lol...
I'm actually going to be flying there - I leave Next friday afternoon and will be flying back into town monday night the 17th

Ah ok, thanks, I'll just get a plane ticket out there
Iowa? Go Hawks?
In all seriousness though, R6's for the win. I got 3 compliments on mine today just going to see my gf for lunch. The low end power is miserable so you have to really try to fry the clutch. Either way, I've decided I like it tons better than the 750 and lots of people say the 750 is the perfect bike. Problem switching between an R6 and 750 (or any bike for that matter) is if you ride just listening to the engine, you're going to slam into the rev limiter from being used to being on a R6. I love/hate how loud mine is, but if you're gonna have full exhaust on any bike it should really be a R6
end of my R6 fap fest...
Aaron-when are you trying to go Iowa? I tell myself I'm going to get out to Minnesota after the weekend of the 23rd..

I bought a plane ticket for next week, thanks for the offer though!
I got to ride a buddy's R6 for a while on the street, and I wasn't even that disappointed in the low end, and I had just gotten off my literbike. It's got plenty enough low end, even at this altitude, to easily get out of traffic or a hairy situation, and I liked how worry free it was to ride.
My bike takes a considerable amount of planning and forethought prior to rolling your wrist. The R6 doesn't you can just ride, and if you want to pin the throttle you can.
I loved it. My only complaints were comfort related.
I think my 1k is way easier to ride on the street then my 6. Especially in the mountains.
Of course! You should hit the fair while you're there lol...great time!
I agree with some comfort complaints, cant have it all though...i'm not that tall though so it isnt too bad for me. I'm only 5'8 so i fit pretty well on it
I think the complete opposite...
When i was looking to buy this one, it was actually between this or a 2009 R1 - the 1 only had 2k on it as well and was the same price as what i bought my 6 for.
6 is way easier to flip around than the 1 was for me - i also think they're more "fun" in terms of shifting and overall riding
