Making a Murder Discussion (POSSIBLE SPOILERS!)

Has anyone seen this and want to discuss? I watched the 10 Episodes on Netflix and done a little bit of other research and still am not 100% certain if Steven Avery is guilty. The main point that puzzles me is how was no DNA evidence found when this girl was shot and stabbed in his house/garage…no way is Steven or Brendan smart enough to get rid of it ALL. I’m leaning to think Steven is guilty, but I feel Brendan is just dumb and maybe knew his uncle did it, but is too dumb and implicated himself.

    What do people think?

I think Brendan was the main guy in the killing and Steve helped him get rid of her. I thought the same thing about the story Brendan sold. No way there isn't blood evidence all over that trailer.

That show is so depressing to me on several levels.

Interesting as I never really thought about that route; that Brendan was the main guy. From what I read that was left out of the documentary is that Steven did know the girl and had been harassing her for a while. The day she came over he hid his phone number (*69) and requested that she come as the employee of Auto Trader. Also said that sweat of Avery’s was found under the hood of her car which I never heard on the documentary; which is odd since that would mean the police would have had to have planted his blood and sweat! From what I have read sweat would be hard to plant; we know the police had access to his blood.

If I had to guess I’d say Avery did the murder and Brendan happened to hear the screams when he got off the bus. Brendan went to check it out and his “cool” uncle convinced him to stay quiet. I still am not sure that Brendan was involved, but I think he knew his uncle did it and is so dumb the officers just manipulated him….seriously I am not sure I have seen a dumber person ever….he confesses to a murder (well agrees with them) and then actually asks when he can go so he can turn in an assignment for school. I do feel sorry for Brendan as it is pretty obvious he has some serious intelligence issues.

What still bothers me is the no DNA found (nearly impossible nowadays to not leave anything), the fact that he hid the car when they had a car crusher on the junk yard, why he would not clean up his blood from the car (pretty obvious spot by key hole), and how this key was not found in other prior searches, and how that cop knew the license plate # before he even saw the car.

I agree and all so sad...especially for the victim who has become more of a story piece than a actual human that was killed

Come on, like #1 documentary ever so others have had to have seen it…..speak up

This has been the only other theory that seemed plausible if Steven is innocent and the cops did not set him up....serial killer Edward Wayne Edwards.

^People think this could be Edward as he was famous for hanging around the people he set up

I guess kind of looks like him, but hard to tell:

Here are some things that may make you go hmmm when considering Cameron’s theory that Edwards killed Halbach:

    • Several of Edward Wayne Edwards’ past victims were murdered on Halloween night. Teresa Halbach disappeared on Halloween night.
    • Edwards had killed in Wisconsin before: In 1980, Edwards mudered Timothy Hack and Kelly Drew in what was later dubbed the Sweetheart Slayings.
    • Edwards was living about an hour away from Steven Avery at the time of the murder.
    • Avery’s new lawyer Kathleen Zellner has already freed one of the men wrongfully convicted of a crime Cameron attributes to Ed Edwards – Ryan Ferguson spent nearly 10 years in jail for the death of Columbia Daily Tribune sports editor Kent Heith. That murder went down on Halloween night.
    • Edwards has a history of showing up at funerals and trials of his victims. Cameron contends he’s been caught on camera doing this a few times, appearing in the background of a documentary on the West Memphis Three. As for the Halbach case, take a look at someone Cameron noticed in episode six of Making A Murderer:

Re: Making a Murder Discussion (POSSIBLE SPOILERS!)

This story was impressively intriguing, but with an obviously very dissatisfying ending.

The biggest thing for me is what's already been stated: WHERE IS ALL THE BLOOD?!?!? These backwoods, white trash, hillbilly bumpkins are all dumber than a box of rocks, yet somehow they masterminded this murder, all the while cleaning up practically every bit of evidence except for the very things that are so obviously sketchy to begin with? Really? That's what we're supposed to believe?

Why would any of the Averys burn the body at the quarry, then move her remains to outside Steven's house, then leave the barrel the remains were moved in along with some of Halbach's possessions and remains, then carry the single key (inexplicably removed from the keyring and other keys) into Steven's house where it could be found later on under some shoes? Never mind (also aforementioned) keeping the vehicle on the premises instead of crushing it in the CRUSHER YOU HAVE IN YOUR BACK YARD.

Not a single bit of this case adds up to anything but "reasonable doubt". Mix in the blatant misconduct of the Manitowoc Sheriff's department being involved when there was a clear conflict of interest and the dots are easy to connect to evidence planting (I'm not saying definitively that it happened, only that it VERY MUCH looks that way). 7 days to find the key? Seriously? As if they hadn't tossed that place several times in the previous 6 searches. No blood splatter all over the hellacious mess of a garage where she was supposed to have been shot? Wait...I thought she was sliced up in the trailer house while cuffed with chains? What's that--no scuff marks on the bed posts? Eh, must've been velvet chains...you know, those real kinky ones...after all HE HAD PORN IN HIS HOUSE!!

This whole thing is a travesty of justice in my opinion. And all the "14 things Netflix didn't tell you" articles haven't shed any real light on anything to definitively prove that Steven Avery did it.

As for Brendan...that kid's the dumbest freakin' moron I've ever seen, and he was totally manipulated by the detectives and his first lawyer's own investigator into making up and drawing shit that never happened. I swear, that kid is painfully stupid through no fault of his own (genetics are a son of a bitch).

Why the roommate and/or ex-boyfriend were never looked is just astounding. In a murder investigation the FIRST people you look at are the ones closest to the victim...any Monday morning quarterback, Law & Order idiot like me knows that. But nah, we'll just ignore them and go after the guy that's causing us a TON of trouble by being wrongfully imprisoned for 18 years, at least 7 of which we are purposefully responsible.

You'll never catch me going anywhere near that shithole county.
