    What tracks have you ridden?

I thought it would be interesting to know who has ridden what and some thoughts about the different tracks if you want to share. I expect some of the track guys that are still on here to have some thoughts and make all us amateurs say WOW. I know riding different tracks is something I really enjoy.

    I'll start

    High Plains
    Second Creek(closed)
    Pueblo Motorsports Park
    PPIR
    IMI
    Mead (continental Divide I think)(closed)
    Hastings
    VIR
    Road Atlanta
    Miller Motorsports Park
Deming NM (can't remember the name)
Palm Beach Int. _ Moroso Park
    Homestead Int.
Corvette Test track - Bowling Green KY (private track)

I'll hold my comments and see where this thread goes.

I have not ridden a track at speed for over 20 years but here is my list

    Pueblo
    La Junta
the original Continental Divide Raceway in Castle Rock
Woody Creek Raceway (not really closed but strictly a private facility today)
    Streets of Steamboat
    Texas World Speedway road course
    Hallett Motor Racing Circuit
A track in NE Texas that I cant remember the name of - Update, it took a little research but it was Oak Hill Raceway in Henderson, TX (now closed)
I can also claim Laguna Seca if you count a spectator parade lap...

Re: What tracks have you ridden?

Second Creek (RIP) - I loved this track
IMI - I know it's only a go-kart track, but I have a soft spot for it, because that's where I first got my knee down
PPIR - track surface continues to deteriorate
Pueblo - even though I launched off the berm at T8, it's still probably my favorite track
La Junta - "an oval with a kink" lol... but T1 was CO's fastest turn @ ~145 with knee down
Mead (yes, aka: CDR) - crazy dangerous, but interesting layout with the elevation changes
Miller (West course) - don't remember too much about the track layout except a few of the turns... spectacular view!!!!!
Hastings - interesting track layout; challenging; very flat
High Plains - turns 1, 2, + 3A&B courtesy of Hastings; prefer the full course with the additional elevation changes of 5 & 7 vs. the North course that only has 9-10 & 11-12; T10 is my favorite corner)

I agree, one of these days I'm going to have to figure out how to get to Mugello and ride it. I think any of the tracks on the GP calendar are worth way more than what it would cost to get on one of them(well except Qatar, I think that's the turd out of all of them). I'll tell you one track I'd love to ride is Abu Dhabi(Formula 1 track) or the Sochi(Formula 1) track.

I have to admit, I think Formula 1 race on way cooler tracks than MotoGP. Hockenheim, Nurburgring, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Soch just to name a few. I do think Monaco is the turd on their calendar(that's a sh*t track, where only pole position wins).

Agreed! When I saw that list I was impressed. Silverstone would be a really cool track to ride.

Bob reminded me about Hastings. I didn't like that track much because it's so flat but I need to add it to my list.

Pretty interesting thread guys. There are some nice tracks on some of these lists.

    In order of appearance...

    Laguna Seca (Track day)
    Second Creek (Track days)
    PPIR (R2SL days)
    Pueblo (Track day)
    Miller (R2SL)

I expect HPR or COTA to be next on my list.

I rarely think of motorcycles without a little yearning. They are about moving, and humans, I think, yearn to move – it’s in our cells, in our desires. We quiet our babies with cyclic movement, and we quiet ourselves by going.
