setting up a forum

so I help run a group on Facebook and as of last night it has become far too adult for Facebook. lol! but I was looking to maybe move the group off of Facebook and into a forum. I'm just not really sure how forums work these days.

I know people are lazy and don't want to upload photos to Photobucket to post them. I also know there is a way around that but not sure how that works as we don't use that here.

just looking for some inside advice from those who know the mighty powers of the interwebs. lol

I actually do a pretty good job on Facebook. lol.

I'm not asking to mod here.

basically I'm having issues with being able to easily have photos in conversations like meme wars.... or more adult stuff. lol.
