+1 I admit I am biased as I ride one (Aprilia Tuono) but I dont get the whole anti naked bike attitude. First off the key point is you are riding and second as long as you are talking the streetfighter style (Sportbikes minus the fairings) they are just as good at any sane pace. I will put my Tuono up against any sportbike sub 100MPH. Over that belongs on the track anyway

I used to be somewhat biased on the naked bikes until I owned this current bike and love them. You get the performance and the comfort, can't go wrong. Still want that 60th R1 though lol

I'll take that challenge. I'm gonna use my 450 dirt bike, though. It's only 45 h.p.. Sure, I'll be in 4th or 5th gear, but you are talking only to 100mph, right?

I'll give it a shot with my R1, too...

Are we talking canyon carving or straight line, honestly they all have the same amount of power, the only thing that changes is the amount of wind resistance with no aerodynamic plastics.

I bet in tight twisties you'll be faster on the 450 (if you put street tires on)

That was exactly my point, below 100 the aerodynamics are not a big deal so you can have just as much fun on a naked and still be comfortable.

I also agree that in tight twisties a 450 supermoto will spank most sportbikes

Did Lookout Mtn. with a bunch of sport bikes a while back. I was on the WR450 with knobbies. The sport bikes didn't have a prayer!

Nice Grim. I like my Duke fine, but not a motorcycle I'd ride to Cali. Definitely the moto I'll taking to Cali and beyond in my toy-hauler RV.

Cool bike you have there. Tried riding on a Speed Triple and I can say that it is a performance machine.
