    Re: Ducati sold..... TO HARLEY!

Here is some info from a trade publication:

    http://www.motorcyclepowersportsnews...ording-report/

    Key points:
Harley is CONSIDERING a purchase, bids are not going in until mid July
    Other parties are interested
Volkswagen is not 100% behind even doing the sale

Volkswagen’s labor unions, which control half the seats on its supervisory board, are opposed to selling the Italian company. “Ducati is a jewel, the sale of which is not supported by the labor representatives on Volkswagen’s supervisory board,” a spokesman for VW group’s works council said. “Harley-Davidson is miles behind Ducati in technology terms,” he added.

For the right money they'll sell it I'm sure lol. Volkswagen is hurting badly after dieselgate. They lost a ton of customer base, also on the buybacks and on that ridiculous fine, yet the EPA said they didn't have money to clean up the river they fucked up for us and we ended up paying for that shit. Fuck EPA

Kind of what I was thinking.....both are a "brand name" you pay extra for that have very little over a bike costing way less.

    Re: Ducati sold..... TO HARLEY!

One thing they both have in common is... both will cost for any maintenance issues. You can do all the preventive maintenance on those bikes. Never fails something will FAIL...
