Biker Airlifted from Horsepower Hill around noon today

Just got back from an extended morning ride. Someone went off the road going downhill on Horsepower hill this morning about 11 am. I got to the scene a bit before noon, and they were airlifting them out, so it had to be pretty bad. No other information available, and the riders I talked to at Deckers didn't know any more.

My condolences go out to those who didn't keep it upright this weekend, and please remember to ride safe out there and keep the rubber side down!

That is such a treacherous area, people lose it rather easily. Best of wishes for the rider, hope he or she pulls through.

Plus there is absolutely zero cell phone service there. You need a satellite phone. Hope the rider is ok.

That too, I've never been a big fan of deckers to be honest with you.

That is one of my favorite rides. I definitely keep an eye for critters on the 100 mph sweepers

At about the same time, I came upon a herd of fire trucks on Dear Creek just after you turn off of Wads. The ambulance was just leaving and there was a silver crotch rocket all wadded in the ditch. Is it really that hard to keep your bike on the road!?! For fucks sake!!

Hard enough for people to keep a car on the road these days, let alone a motorcycle. Most riders out there aren't even licensed or have taken a course. Most these guys think that moving it A to B is riding when in reality there's more to this than people think and then they're over their heads unfortunately.
