Anyone have an 80 or 100?

Looking to borrow it for a couple hours to teach my girlfriend to ride...

    I've currently got a kx250 which i just did a full frame up rebuild on. Also have a crf250 and a yz125.

She's never ridden and i think each of those bikes might be a bit much for her to start out on.

65, 80, 100, pit bike, whatever you'd be willing to hook me up with!

    lemme know!

I got an 80 but she would HATE it. It's a little racer and it will 12 oclock her easy. I taught my ex on it so I know.
Good luck teaching her to ride! I hope she gets the bug.

haha, yeah, thats my worry on both my KX and the YZ...i think she'd be better off learning on the CRF...we'll see though.

shes only 5'3 so its the height of the bikes that is going to be the biggest issue, i think.

i hope she does, too. real bad. I had bought the KX to simply fix up and flip but i developed a connection with it because of how much i did to it and how bad of shape it was in vs what it looks like now. So, i'm keeping it haha...hoping she'll have a good time riding. plus, if we get into riding together then i'll save money by not having to go out to the bars much haha!

And because i know you care oh so much...heres how the KX was before, during, and after (i'm just waiting for graphics to be done for it)

heres mostly what was done (i think i'm forgetting a few things):

    - powdercoated frame
    - powdercoated subframe
    - powdercoated swingarm
    - new front and rear tires
    - new front and rear tubes
    - new rear spokes
    - new front and rear wheel bearings
    - new steering bearings
    - new front and rear sprocket
    - new chain
    - rebuilt 2001 forks with speed bleeders
    - rebuilt shock
    - rebuilt top and bottom end
    - new exhaust
    - new levers
    - new air filter
    - new radiators and hoses
    - new fuel lines
    - cleaned and rebuilt carb
    - new vent hoses
    - new plastics
    - new front and rear brakes
    - new grips
    - new pegs
    - of course all new fluids
    - new oem and matching bolts (replaced appx a third of all the bolts)

appreciate it, man! She rips...looking forward to seeing how the graphics turn out. I sent some pics to a friend of mine that designs motox graphics for her own company and also did them for sun motorsports - gave her creative freedom and i'm sure they'll turn out great.

hoping i can teach the gf on the crf250 if i dont find another smaller/easier bike for her. I think that'll be more manageable than going straight to the yz125 when she's never ridden. Just have to hope she likes it and has a good time so we can do that together! Will save money overall by not going out on the weekends all the time haha
