what’s crazy is that Yamaha tried something similar not too long ago but they didn’t advance with the idea and Yamaha was the only manufacturer to not complaint about it, everyone else did.

Yamaha was using it to deflect water though, hence Aprilia being told it could only be mounted in wet conditions.

Not sure if anyone noticed this weekend's WSBK results, but Bautista did it again with a hat trick of wins. He's 6 for 6 this year. Johnny Rea has come in 2nd in every race as well. Looks like some competition has finally arrived in WSBK.

Which I think also confirms the current level of MotoGP riders vs. other riders. It's clear they are light years faster. Chaz Davies can't even get a sniff of the pace that Alvaro is showing.

Like to see how the next few races pan out, we will start to see if the pace Bautista is showing will only get better or Rea will finally have some answers. At this point, he's beating Rea by upwards of 10+ seconds per full race(sprint races don't count even though Bautista still won by over 1.5sec).

I'm sure some of this has to do with the technical restrictions in rev's Kawasaki has been given. But this is bad, Bautista is throwing the rest of the field a monstrous beating in each race.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some RPM limit shuffling, but I think he's likely to continue winning.

Sounds like there should be a ruling on the Ducati protest tomorrow, I'll be curious to see what happens. Sounds like the Aprilia team wants the Qatar results to stand, but the scoop ruled illegal. If it's not found illegal, I expect it to show up on almost all the bikes. It's got ideal placement for more down force while accelerating but then decreasing at speed.

That's what I've been reading. Qatar result would stand but if ruled illegal, then from Argentina forward no more rear wings. I agree with you, if it does stand, then we may see it all over the place with all teams.

I'm surprised Yamaha wouldn't want it stay, may help them in getting traction to that rear tire. Seems they are having some spinning issues, yet again. This could help in getting that rear tire to plant and drive out.

I'm kind of getting the feeling MotoGP is turning into Formula 1. Teams are starting to take digs at each other for technical advantages or body work advantages.

I will say this, read in an article somewhere that DORNA did have some Formula 1 aerodynamics experts take a look at the wing and they all said, the only reason it was on there was for down force. And if anyone is going to know the business of down force it's going to be people from the F1 paddock.

Breaking news: the FIM Court of Appeal have ruled that Ducati's spoiler is legal and rejected the four protests

I'm honestly surprised by the decision. Given that though, I expect to see all kinds of wings ('tire cooling devices') tested, and then I wouldn't be surprised to ultimately see a rule against it for next year.

Guess is all loopholes and what not, guess we'll see coming into Argentina to see if any of the other manufacturers roll out with these too and who knows what else.... on an unrelated note and question for anyone who has a season pass, can you guys view the video library at all? I can't find it whatsoever anywhere and even searching for it, was going to watch some old races but can't see them. I emailed their support team a few days ago but their contact time is horrific.

I can, but they apparently redid the site recently. For me Motogp.com click on videos, click on browse, the 2019 'button' is actually a drop down, can select past years, then change "All video types" to "Sesiones completas" and I can see them.

Going here http://www.motogp.com/en/videos doesn't have a "Browse" option for you? I just tried it in several browsers and they all show it (slightly different formatting) for me. Browse takes you to http://www.motogp.com/en/videos/all which then has the filtering drop downs ("2019", "All Categories", "All events", "All video types" by default).

Good race from everyone that finished. Nice battle between Dovi and Rossi and really rest of the group had some good back and forth. Marquez just spanked everyone today and I can't see that changing in Austin at least. Have to wait until the European races to start and see where everyone will be performance wise.

They must be using super fast cameras as I think Crutchlow got jived on that jump start. Looked normal to me when everyone left.

    Bring on Austin!!

Yeah still not working for me for some reason but oh well, guess I'll just wait until they decide to contact me about it.....

Man what a clinic by Marquez, consistent lap times like clock work it's insane, can't even be mad at that.... What a podium by Rossi, always manages to find something out of nothing, when will Yamaha wake up and give their riders a proper bike, Honda and Yamaha are light years ahead What the hell was Viñales thinking going to a soft/soft, that killed him and incredible that his starts are still horrific. Bummer on the race incident in between Morbidelli and Maverick but some good scraps overall in the middle of the pack there. Marquez will most likely win next one as well so it's all going to become damage limitation but still pretty incredible that nobody had anything for him today. I think the ride through for Cal was a bit harsh, that jump start didn't give him any advantage whatsoever since he came back to a stop. Great ride by Rins too coming from 16th to 5th... Crazy but well WSBK next weekend and two more weekends for COTA.

Yeah at the naked eye didn't seem like much and to me it seemed like he stopped but their footage doesn't lie and I stand corrected as well. Crazy and bummer for him though but well guess gotta roll with the punches and move onto the next round. I'm sure he will podium at COTA, Honda is way too strong there.

O.k. that is more definitive of an angle. I, along with others only saw the head on shot from the race. To me, it didn't look like moved when they did the replay. But from the side shot, oh yeah he moved and moved a lot.

After seeing this is, it's blatant that he's moving forward.

Have to say, Cal lost some credibility now. Once this angle is shown, he knows he lost the case. Which judging from his comments about race direction. He went in there and blew up at them, and he said they just stood there and didn't say anything, just let him vent. Which in his comments he keeps saying, I've got to just accept it and it is what it is.

Which means, he got to see the side angle footage and yet, he was rolling. Not a lunge forward, which is what most of us were looking for(or expecting to see), but yes a true rolling forward movement. So the penalty was justified.

It feels like this would of been a good place for the new long lap penalty, instead of a ride through. With the other views he's moving forward, but this seems different than say Lorenzo at COTA.

Oh yeah Lorenzo at COTA was about as obvious of a jump as Tony Baker a few years back during formula Colorado but yeah the rule is very specific and he did lunge forward advantage or not, movement and you’re screwed

As enjoyable as the race for 2nd was yesterday, it doesn't inspire a lot of confidence that it'll be anyone but 93 standing on top at COTA...

Yeah while going out there to shoot the shit is fun BUT because he runs away at COTA year after year it just isn’t worth spending the money. Would be cool if they bring back Laguna but probably won’t happen again.

And Lorenzo hit the pit limiter setting while launching, that’s why he almost got sent into last week at the start.

Unfortunately, GP will never be at Laguna... which sucks and we all know it. I'm just glad I got to go to one GP there. Now saying that, I'll also say that I preferred Indy to Laguna, from a spectator perspective. Those guys knew how to put on a large event... Laguna always felt a little "farm club" by comparison.

COTA's a great venue, but you are correct... The race is usually quite boring. But, since it's the only one in N.A., I'll throw down and enjoy the show... also eat a ton of real BBQ!
