    2019 St. Patrick's Day Parade Sign-Up Thread

It's that time of year again, kids... time to sign up for the 2019 Denver St. Patrick's Day Parade!! This year's parade takes place on Saturday, March 16th!

A huge THANK YOU to our returning sponsors, TFOG Wheelsports, and, Mo-Door

    and

If you've never ridden in the parade with us, this is definitely something you have to experience at least once (as many of our "repeat offenders" can attest to)!

    Fine-print stuff, but important, nonetheless:
Each participant* receives a commemorative t-shirt, designed specifically for this year's parade.
    * "Participant" refers to those riding on a motorcycle in the parade (including passengers ). Commemorative t-shirts may be available for purchase for those riding in the back of the truck at an estimated cost of $12.00 (to be confirmed/finalized when the t-shirt order is placed).

Weather permitting, we ask that you wear the commemorative t-shirt during the parade (since the parade is mostly at a walking pace, most of us store our regular riding gear in the truck during the parade, and re-don it once we get back to the staging area).

We will have water and other refreshments available to keep you hydrated before the parade. We will not be supplying any alcohol (that doesn't mean you can't bring your own, just please be responsible). The consumption of alcohol is not permitted anywhere along the parade route.

If you want to ride in the parade, you must be able to provide proof of insurance - parade marshals may be asking for it. If you can't provide it, you will not be allowed to participate in the parade.

Here is the official list of parade rules.

Also, since we were banned from participating in 2016, because we did burnouts in 2015:
    ******
No burnouts or stunting of any kind will be
    tolerated******

Now that that's out of the way...
We are limited to 10 vehicles (1 truck up front, with our banner + 9 bikes), so...
    Sign-Up will be on a "first-come, first-served" basis (with a backup/reserve list, if necessary)
Current Club Members get priority over non-members/friends (non-members/friends will be put on the backup/reserve list)

    How to Sign-Up:

    • Reply to this thread & I will add your name to the Master List (below). T-shirt info will be collected later.
    • The back of the truck is reserved primarily for family members of participants (e.g. little kids), but space is limited - please specify how many spots you will need. If there is still room, we will consider letting other members participate in the parade by riding in the back of the truck.
    • Complete details will be distributed via PM to registered participants.
    • We usually meet for breakfast first, then ride to the pre-staging area together. Details will be sent via PM.

    The Master List

    In the truck up front:

    • Driving:
      • Nik Scott (fb) + 2

    • In bed of Truck:

The list is full, but we still need someone to drive the truck up front with the banner. The truck will likely be mine, which I will bring to the pre-staging breakfast meetup.

Hey all. I'm probably not going to have the same budget for beers like I did last year, so if anybody wants to pitch-in with me on the parade refreshments, lemme know.

@WB: I'm assuming you'll be bringing your monstrous cooler?

Your "they" should talk to my "they"... my "they" say it'll be a max of 4 inches, ending Wednesday evening around 7.

I don't know what you're talking about. The only problem would be if the snow doesn't get cleared, and even then, only the north side of taller buildings will still have snow. Friday is forecast to be sunny with a high of 42.

Let's wait and see how bad this "storm" is.

Barn, I can probably pick up some waters and some gatorade-type drinks. It's going to be pretty chilly in the morning... maybe we should have Irish coffees instead? lol
