Ok everyone here is the direct link to BIG Jon, going down on the track!

I hope you are ok Jon! Jon, has been a member of Mile High Madness for a couple years. He runs our California chapter. He races at Laguna Seca, and other local California tracks. Well he took a big spill a couple weeks ago. Show the luv for our fellow member.
Ok so I took all his pics frames and combined them together and came out with this:

Looks like he slid and was getting right back up afterwards (and didn't look like he hit his head).
Not to trivialize, but going down at the track is a common occurance, everyone who rides the track will do it, and the likeliehood of any kind of life threatening injury from a day at the track is low. Just ask ebazyl ....he can tell you how hard you can highside and walk away with a sore ass..wait, that sounds bad

I rode for 6 years on the street including some stupid stuff, and first time I ever went down was at the track (head first of course). Ya pick yousrself up, pick up the bike and the peices, load your stuff on the trailer, and head home to curse yourself and the bike, then figure out how to get the $$ to put it back together so that you can go do it again.

That sucks. I blew the corkscrew at Laguna once also, but managed to just dirt-track it back onto the slab and keep it upright.

At least it looked realitively painless and with minimal bike damage.

I rarely think of motorcycles without a little yearning. They are about moving, and humans, I think, yearn to move – it’s in our cells, in our desires. We quiet our babies with cyclic movement, and we quiet ourselves by going.

Yea he is a BIG guy and pretty tough. I know that going down at a track is going to happen. I did a parade lap once there at Laguna Seca. That back side corkscrew is a tough! Even playing around on the track. BIG JON, loves the sport of track racing. This was an open track day for him. He does race some amature stuff. I need Leathers dammit. After watching that, I don't want to EVER high side or in this case fall off without that type of protection.

Looks like he cut the corner and hit a rut (probably from water run-off) and the bike got upset when he came back onto the track because of the big step up from the rut to the curbing. Sucks, but it looks like he'll be okay.

Show the luv for our brotha that high sided.
Not to nitpick (okay, I'm nitpicking ), but that wasn't a high side.

Wait, I just had a thought, how does "mile high madness" have a California chapter? I mean, doesn't Mile High kinda tie the club to colorado?

Tell your boy to weight the pegs and apply throttle. I guess it's a little late to do that, though.

You haven't done the corkscrew until you've gone through it in the back of a flatbed truck with 30 other people and a nutjob at the wheel.
Not a shred of evidence exists in favor of the idea that life is serious.

Maybe the "high" doesn't refer to elevation?
