It’s been a rough day for this motorcyclist. This guy is lucky to be alive. I hope he heals fully and quickly.
It’s tough enough to dodge all the hazards when you’re sober. So what’s the point of drinking and riding/driving?

Incident Date February 28, 2006 Time 9:49:00 PM Division Falcon Shift II
Title Traffic Crash Location 2300 N. Wahsatch Ave.
Summary On Tuesday evening at about 9:49PM a report was received by CSPD of a traffic accident in the 2300 block of N. Wahsatch ave. Once on scene Officers learned that a motorcyclist was north bound in the 2300 block of N. Wahsatch Ave. and had failed to stop at a stop sign at Jackson St. and skidded into a landscape retaining wall. Upon impact with the wall, the motorcycle burst into flames. The operator was pulled from those flames by people in the area.
The Driver was taken to Penrose Main hospital where he is in critical condition. He was not wearing a helmet. His name is being withheld until his family can be notified. The consumption of Alcohol is being investigated.
