    motorcycle shop in Colorado

I am needing to have my carbs tuned and synched and was wanting to see if anyone has a recommendation on some shops in the Denver, Colorado area? Thanks in advance.

RPM up on North Wadsworth does excellent work, and has a fast turn around. Call and talk to Neil he'll take care of you and provide an upfront estimate of the work.

I just re did my carbs on my bike (actually waiting for 1 more o ring that I had to order) but I took the body down to TK and Bart took care of me down there. Their # is 720-904-9040...you can tell them you know Melanie if you want, but they would probably just laugh at you

Both TK and Faster have dyno's, and are both located at 8th/I-25. TFOG can jet it, but does not have a dyno for fine tuning.

I believe it's like 75$ to get TK to tune your carbs. Bart just did my dirt bike and it runs sweet now!

I sent rpm an email to see what kind of price they have. I was going to take my bike to faster motosports but they are about 3 weeks out so I guess I will be taking my bike somewhere else to get this fixed asap.

If you want them really well tuned, DEFINITLY take it somewhere that will run it on a dyno.

When I did mine, I just re-sync'd them, and also found a bad o ring that was causing an issue. I had Bart at TK look the body over, and tap out the air/fuel screw (no running on a dyno or anything) and they were so good when I put them back on that it was idling perfectly without the throttle cable even being attached.

I was thinking about sending an email to TK to see what they would quote me and when they could get me in. I would love to get my bike all tuned up soon.

You'd be better off calling them. 720-904-9040.

I am also thinking that based on people's thoughts of faster motosports that it would be worth the wait?

I think for what you need, either shop will be fine, so it's your preference on who you choose. You may find a backlog at TK too, especially right before a race weekend like this - both shops are going to give priority to getting the race bikes done.

Dang that stinks, I will see what they say but it looks like I might be waiting a few weeks before I can get anything done.

You need that thing on a dyno like JFK needed another fuckin' hole in the head. If its just a rebuilt (not jetting, velocity stacks, etc.) a lawnboy mechanic could do it. Save your money for a dyno when you get a pipe or get the bike jetted. Most shops can rebuild and get your carbs spot on without the use of a dyno.

    I still love you Mel!

In fact that's NOT true. Tuning the bike on the dyno makes the MOST sense. Bart tuned my dirt bike with it, true you don't HAVE to, but they have the best tools to make sure it's tuned the BEST.

    Re: motorcycle shop in Colorado

I called Bart and he said that with the issue I described he thinks that my problem will require more than just adjusting the low speed screws and synching the carbs. He gave me a quote of $260 for the work and that is of course without parts. And faster gave me a quote of $75 per carb so at that point I might as well just spend the extra $125 for the jet kit and just have it jetted and tuned.
