    Re: BS or real?

Nice photoshop if it's fake, which is my guess based on the plate

CSP 007- who do they think they are? James Bond? Even the most progressive government agency couldn't possibly have that good of a sense of humor

    agreed, i think it's a fake too.

not to mention if it's meant to stop the guys who run, they'd need to understand the non-average runners better be in something slow cause the WRX won't hang with a very good driver/rider who's in/on something fast.

it never ceases to amaze me when american police departments waste money on slow "pursuit" cars...

It's real. They did it for a marketing photo shoot for the CSP. The guy that owned it worked for the CSP. He was selling it on craigslist a few months ago, sans stickers.

Well from what i know, there are quite a few VERY good Drivers on the police force. When my bro was going through the academy, the driving tests weren't anything a normal driver could do... they test at all speeds doing alot of crap i wouldn't do to my car. I'd be willing to bet 95% of this group couldn't pass the driving test...except for those who are cops on the board.

oh yeah FlyBoy? and if not, is it because you are a n00b?

I think there are a couple people around on the site who have been privvy to special driving courses well above and beyond what the average person would ever learn

and still a good, competant pilot on a quick bike well leave a cop car with a good, competant driver for dead, because the cop cars we have in the US are pathetically slow (compared to say M5 and 911 Turbo cop cars, which are used elsewhere in the world)

If I had a desenct car, and was invited to try and "outrun" and officer, I bet I could. I would need some time to get used to the car, and I would need more then a small stretch where the officers practice to out run them.

Ummm, the post from Dr. Joe Siphek wasn't about out running a cop, it was whether or not you could pass the driving courses which officers are required to take/pass.

BTW...if you are gonna run, you better make it much quicker than a small stretch. I did some research back in the day on running from the cops, the quicker the evade the better...the longer you take...well that's when the speediness of radio's kick in and then you get to go to jail.

BTW...you shouldn't ever run from the cops. It's illegal and dangerous.

Lol, these cops on Kawi 1000's are learning how to manuever them at the colorado christian parking lot close to my place.... it's hilarious watching them put their feet down all the time and dropping them... I mean, at least throw out a request for someone who's ridden before throwing these guys into the mix...

    Damn...you know your shit.

On awdpirates, a photographer posted some pics of his new ride. Given this was one or two years ago...this car is real. Now, it's not the typical csp car either, for shooting crime scenes and promo shots, as the street racers. It's good getting pulled over in a Subaru by a csp officer that works out of the golden office because he knows what the car can do, besides the speed the officer clocked me at. And yes…I got a warning. Kinda funny…I still have the recorded conversation from the traffic stop too.

Staged shot with the real car is my final answer.
Down south...a unmarked suv has the plate: HWY-007 (CO plate)
