    1968 Triumph Daytona T100R

So I recently picked up a 1968 Triumph T1000R fora ridiculously low price. Its in a bit of disarray. So I headed up to Isles and picked up the manual. I can work on Jap bikes all day long, but this old Brit, well, Im lacking confidence(that makes me sound like such a pussy)!

So are there any brit bike specialists out there, that would like to spend a saturday or sunday afternoon with me to help rebuild the engine?

http://motohero.net/triumph/ - there are some pictures.

If you fix that bike up properly, that thing is going to look Cherry
I wish I had the time to help you fix her up, but, I have an Italian bike now, and well, the modification bug has bitten me. I know those parallel twins and triples are pretty rock solid. My suggestion would be to check the web sites on the other side of the pond. There is quite a few clubs and web sites devoted to the original Triumphs. There even was a TV series on BBC America a couple of years ago, with one of the cohosts from Top Gear, that was devoted to the rebuilding of a 60's Triumph.

My Dad knows these bikes inside and out. Besides the '39 Indian, he's up to 5 or 6 old Triumphs. I'll ask if he's got time and PM you to get your #

Man I am jealous, that will be a sweet bike!

The key to working on brit bikes: Drink a lot of ale, and yell things like "bollocks!" and "you cheeky bastahd" at the bike repetetively. Beyond that, just turn wrenches a lot and expect oil to come out of strange new places at random, just because it's British and likes to mark its territory.

Hey now... well ok, maybe vintage ones, but my sprint doesn't leak anything

T595.net might be able to help you backtrack to a dedicated site/forum for the older Daytonas.
