My bike makes me cry.

Well. My bike has never backfired before. And this summer it has back fired like 3 times while starting the bike for the first time that day. Not sure why, thats why i am posting here.

If you have any ideas, please help.

There is also a rubber rubbing sound on the front. But i cant see anywhere or feel anywhere where the tire is rubbing on the front hugger.

Ideas of things to check would be awesome. Its not easy to push my bike to hear the sound while leaning over the front or side of my bike with my head by my tire. So i am having issues finding the source.

I wouldn't worry about the back fire...my TL shoots flames out the pipes on decel. It is usually just igniting excess gases and fuel in the exhaust.
As for the rubbing sound, I am at a loss on that one.

Don't wory about the backfires unless they start to get worse. Prolly just the choke dumping to much fuel in and then it ignites in the pipes.

The rubbing sound could be a number of things. Warped rotor,brake pad hang up in the caliper,wheel bearing going bad. If you have a front lift you should beable to find the problem.

Hmmm. Well forget about the backfires then. I need to get someone to look at my front i guess. Being a noob, i donno what i am looking for really.

Needs a check up anyway...
