    Re: Gene Bazyl's memories

I've added this video to my MySpace profile. If anybody wants to do the same, here is the code you'll need:

Edit: 7/28 - it seems that putfile has moved the file to an undisclosed location, so the code I originally posted below no longer works. I have the file saved and have uploaded it to the CSC server. I have updated the src value in the code below:

    <embed allowScriptAccess="never" allowNetworking="internal" type="application/x-mplayer2" pluginspage="http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/MediaPlayer/" name="mediaplayer1" showstatusbar="1" EnableContextMenu="false" autostart="true" transparentstart="1" loop="1" controller="true" src="http://videos.cosportbikeclub.org/Gene/Gene.wmv" width="320" ></embed>

    Re: Gene Bazyl's memories

My God what an awful thing to come back too. I havent been with you guys for months due to personal issues. I first met Gene when he put his bike through the turn 1 fence at La Junta in 2005. I felt so bad for his bike, but he jumped up with a smile and a friendly hello. It was all good with him - just a part of the sport he loved. My condolences to all who knew him much better than I.

    Re: Gene Bazyl's memories

So I thought I'd bring this thread back alive. Today marks 1 year the we've been without Gene. Days like this make me think about how fortunate I am. Today I'm fortunate to have known Gene.

I think I've watched that Championship video of Gene a thousand times. I get teary eyed everytime too, I just remember how exciting it was. Thanks for taking care of Dave this past weekend G.
