    Sprocket and chain time

    2001 CBR 600 F4i 33,000 miles

I've replaced the chain once and it's time to do it again. This time I'm going to do the sprockets also. Should I stick to the stock tooth count or change? I don't do any track riding and I like to have the speedo some what close.

On another post someone used sumofallparts on ebay and was eventially happy so I'll give them a shot. $149.00 with shipping for sprockets and 520 chain.

So, should I stick with the 16/46 or go to 15/48?

15/48 will give you faster acceleration, but a lower top end (not an issue unless you find yourself at 150+ on a regular basis).

Also, it will cost a few bucks more than ebay, but I recommend Cal Sportbike. Great online vendor, and Todd (the owner) really takes care of his customers. Plus if you have problems or questions he'll get it handled, unlike random ebay auctions.

I used sum of all parts for the sprockets and chain on my Hawk. I was dissapointed in the shipping time but they communicated very well and I ended up being very happy with their product and follow up. I would reccomend them to anyone.

I would Recommend not regearing to stock. Mine was 14/45 on an F2. I recently changed to stock, 15/43, and have been dissapointed. It is much smoother in accel. and a few more MPG, but I missed the Get up and go of the gearing before.

    Don't really know stores, sorry
