    Bike Chain Reccomendations & Help

Hey guys, As most of you guys are aware I had a catastrophic chain failure which took out a good $350 in parts and cases (will see if it's all better once I get the parts in and Dana & I put them in/on the bike.

So the chain is one of the items needing to be replaced. How long do I need the chain to be with two additional teeth on the rear sprocket (it fits a stock chain with a simple turn of the rear wheel height adjuster). Also brand recommendations would be great/ who has them cheap and/or works for them? I think it's a stock 530 chain for the power so i'll prolly stick with that.-Stu

    Stuart,

I only know what I read. DID appears to have the best chain right now.

I just had to buy a new chain myself.

Also, check Ebay for a sprocket and chain kit for your bike from "Sum of All Parts" They carry conversion kits and stuff for most bikes.

    STU-

I'd suggest that you also switch out your sprokets when you put the new chain on.

Thanks, We'll take a look at em, the rear w/two more teeth has less than 500 miles on it. The most the front can have is 27k assuming it's never been changed, so prolly get a new one for that.

Front sprockets are cheap. So replace it if it looks worn at all.

DID ERV3 PERIOD....160 rwhp and never had a problem
