Keep an eye open for the noob on an orange Busa... I may well have a passenger so will be keen to look for the slower members of the pack to hang with today.

the ride should be set up in groups of similar comfort/speed levels.

Thanks to all I had the chance to meet for the first time - And a special word of gratitude to both Pilot and J - well organised, considerate of all levels of ability and my fisrt glimpse of playing around in the mountains - what better introduction or company could a guy ask for !

Thanks again- I had a fab time, even with the onset of hypothermia and frostbite. Now, some winter gloves and jacket will see me ready for the next group outing.

Stopped to help a rider. Rider was fine. Headed back via I25 by way of 119 to make good time riding back to Sedalia. Nice group of riders. Usually ride alone...my friends prefer a more leisurely pace. Nice to have new fast friends.

    Pilot, Terra, Ken, Bassil, Joe,

Thanks for a great ride today. This was by-far the best ride that we have had in Colorado. Thank you for being so friendly, and thanks for the awesome pics, Pilot. We look forward to riding with you guys again as soon as we get winter gloves. Thanks to the other guys who were riding with us as well. Sorry, we met too many people today, and we forgot some names.

Terra, I thought that you and I should send a special thank you to the gentlemen in the Jeep who made our day that much more exciting. Now the cops are not only looking for me in California, but Colorado as well. Thanks again, guys.

    Re: Ride 9-17-06 Sunday

A few cornering shots from todays ride. These were taken at Lookout Mountain around 5:30 this evening. This is a great place, at that time of the day, to get these photos. My thanks to Terra, Patrick and UnSuk, and Bassil for the fly bys. That's also the order of the pics. Proof that I can lean over, just a bit (on my "touring" bike) is in the last pic. Great group of riders today. Thank you Jay for putting together another excellent Sunday ride.

I'm still tripping out that I was leaning over that much on that turn. Glad I didn't rip my pants. Nearly did so when I felt them scrape the ground about 15min. before we took the pictures. In any event, those are awsome pictures of everyone!!

And here is the "GANG" at the Conoco and at Peak to Peak at the top of Golden Gate Canyon. At one point I think I counted 40 bikes .

    Re: Ride 9-17-06 Sunday

Definetely a good ride. It was great to see that many people show up (30+), especially on such a baumy morning. In the end though, it was down to 10 of us at lunch (Estes Park Brewery), and then 6 of us on Lookout mountain. It was great to meet everyone and hope to ride with everyone again. I'm exhausted and going to bed now.

Patrick & UnSuk: Great to meet you two. Hope you like it here in CO.
Pilot: This is record time for you to get pictures off of your camera!
Bassil: You're not as bad as everyone says you are
Terra: Thanks for the radar-detecting escort home.
Everyone else: You're great too, but you must have gone home early (before 6:00).

Good ride, thanks for letting me tag-along, hope I didn't slow anyone up too much. Nice to have faces to go along with forum names. Hope we can do it next week.

I had a great time....well except for the whole 40 degrees.

I'll be out at the conoco next weekend crying how cold it is.
