We are extending an open invitation to everyone for a PMP track day this Saturday...
This may be one of the last few times the weather will permit an enjoyable gathering at PMP for the 2006 season...

3 turns to be cautious in are:
Turn 3 - rear tire likes to get a bit loose here once you start over the crest of the hill.
Turn 7 - the hairpin is evil as there is a big patch right in the apex which may be slick for some (Those that have ridden IMI will know the type of patch). Otherwise, is you hit it too hot, you may find yourself chasing the gophers.
Turn 10 - If you wipe out here, you will be greeted by a solid concrete wall about ~20 feet away from the track edge.
Otherwise, feel free to twist your wrist as much as you dare...

Kyle and myself went last Friday (11/10/2006), and the weather forecast called for 53F and Partly Cloudy... Well, it didn't turn out that way! It was perfect track day weather with no clouds in the sky and 65F which allowed our tires stick like glue to the tarmac... I am hoping for a repeat of the weather since the forecast parallels the one for 11/10, which will make it enjoyable to all that make it...
We spoke with the track marshal about the entrance driveway, that cuts across the hot track, and hopefully this weekend they will have a solution in place to prevent cagers from crossing it haphazardly... I know this first hand, because it was my first time at PMP, and the intersection had no stop sign, no sign saying hot track, and/or no chain... Since safety is our primary concern, we may have to take matters into our own hands and rotate someone out at that intersection every 20 to 30 min to prevent cagers from driving across and potentially creating a T-Bone situation...
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WHEN YOU ENTER THROUGH THE FRONT GATE, THE FIRST INTERSECTION IS CROSSING OVER A HOT RACE TRACK WHERE BIKES ARE EASILY GOING 100+ MPH!!! BE CAUTIOUS AND AWARE!!!
So far, there are 6 confirmed that are going:
1) Joe
2) Sheila
3) Terra
4) Matt
5) An unknown comic
6) A two armed bandit
We will most likely arrive at PMP between 9am - 10am, and ride till they wave the checkered flag in our face - that is if I don't capture the flag and hide it...
So everyone come out and lets have some fast and safe fun!
So say we all...
